John —
Our democracy is under attack in Missouri. So, when people think of politics in our state — what comes to mind?
Is it that on January 6th, one of our senators, Josh Hawley, welcomed the white supremacist insurrectionists that stormed the Capitol with a salute and incited a deadly attack on our democracy? Yet he continues to represent us.
Or maybe folks think first about how when Roe v. Wade was overturned by a far-right, illegitimate Supreme Court, Missouri was the first state to ban abortion statewide. And that right now, pregnant people in Missouri are forced to travel as far as 120 miles to access abortion care.
Perhaps, they don’t think that the threats we face from a growing far-right, white supremacist movement across Missouri are unique to our state, but an issue nationwide.
Regardless, that’s not the Missouri we know, John. And it’s not the Missouri I want to pass on to future generations— but without the right voices in Congress and local leadership, we’re on a fast track to losing our rights and weakened democracy. That’s why I'm honored to be working to re-elect the first Black Congresswoman to represent the state of Missouri.
This task is daunting — but Cori’s shown us the power of regular, everyday people coming together. Will you join our movement with a donation of $5 or more today to ensure we have the resources to reject the far-right on Election Day?
Cori is using this power as OUR Congresswoman to grow our movement for the change St. Louis and communities like it need — from Medicare for All and ensuring reproductive freedom for all to criminal-legal system reform and action to end the militarization and criminalization of our communities.
That's why our team led a ten-stop Roe the Vote: Freedom Tour last month to rally and take the fight for reproductive justice to communities across Missouri. Because we know that Missourians across our state support our right to bodily autonomy.
There's so much at stake. We need to join together to reject this growing white supremacy and fight for the society we want to be. We have less than 24 hours to make a difference, so, will you donate now to help fuel this movement until the election?
Let's continue this work. Together.
In solidarity,
Adrastos Da Silva,
Campaign Manager, Team Cori
