We have worked so hard over the last seven months to build a campaign that is well-positioned to win tomorrow. I’ll be honest, I hadn’t been planning to run for higher office, but after listening to so many people across the district about how Pete Stauber has failed our community, I knew I had no other choice. I felt a responsibility to my community to run for Congress because we deserve so much more.

And now, thanks to all of our collective work, we have made this race one to watch. But I’m reminded of President Obama’s infamous call to Democrats like us – “whatever you’ve done so far is not enough.”

I’m proud of the campaign we have run and the ground we’ve covered to talk to so many folks across our district. As an economist, I know how we can tackle rising costs and the corporate greed running rampant in our country. I worked hard in a divided legislature to make progress for Minnesotans’ healthcare costs, so I know I can take the same bipartisan approach in Congress. As a mother of two kids and an educator, I know how important it is to have quality schools where our kids are safe. And as your candidate for Congress, I stand ready to represent ALL voices in our district.

In addition to sharing our vision, we’ve also held Pete Stauber accountable for his extreme agenda and his failure to represent our community in Washington. And this has had an impact, because we have seen Stauber resort to launching baseless and false attacks on my record.
