Hello everyone,
My husband Michael and I had the privilege of serving our nation together for almost three decades.
Different schools, new doctors, different commute, pack up and unpack, good-byes to old friends and hellos to new neighbors — we moved from state-to-state and overseas. I didn’t know married life to a naval officer would be so busy or so enriching when we married in 1989. (Yes, I would do it over again!)
As a family, we were better for it. Our children saw many new schools, sometimes as many as three in a single year, and they were accepting of those disruptions to their lives. Deployments were made more tolerable when email came along, but Michael’s absence was always felt around the dinner table, on holidays, and during family events.
No challenge we faced these last three decades, though, compares to the demands of running for the U.S. Senate. Yet this is exactly why my husband is undertaking this next level of service — because he has consistently made the impossible look doable and the difficult look commonplace. If anyone can beat Chuck Grassley, he can do it. My sense is that the nation needs people like him.
Admiral Michael Franken, my hubby, is the right person to be Iowa’s next Senator. I believe in him, and I know he will wow you, as well. His soul is Iowa’s. But if Mike is going to win, turn Iowa blue, and fix the many challenges Iowa, its citizens, and this nation face, he needs your help one last time today.
Getting his message before every Iowa voter takes significant funding, especially against a 46-year incumbent like Chuck Grassley who has taken $10 million from corporate PACs and special interests. Please, can Mike count on you to make one final donation right now to his campaign and help him defeat Chuck Grassley, turn Iowa blue, and protect the Democratic majority in the Senate?
If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
I’ve seen Michael completely at ease when speaking with international leaders and just as easily as the farmers he worked for some 45 years ago. He is the most engaging, level-headed, smart, and practical person I’ve ever known. He is a remarkable man with an unbelievable ability to get things done.
Please help Iowa get a Senator the state needs.
Thank you for everything you can do,
Jordan Franken
