I believe ‘promises made, promises kept.’  Since becoming your state senator, I have consistently worked hard for Fairbanks families as I promised during my first campaign. 
 

I committed to protecting the PFD. I voted for inflation proofing the Permanent Fund and fought adamantly to preserve the PFD for future generations.

I listened when you told me you were concerned about public safety. I helped increase the number of public safety officers, because I believe Alaskans deserve to feel safe in their homes and on the streets.

I responded when I heard that you were struggling with taxes and high prices. I passed an amendment to save homeowners hundreds of dollars on property taxes, and secured millions of dollars in revenue sharing to lower local taxes. Just last month I wrote to Alaska Attorney General Treg Taylor to ask him to investigate price gouging at the gas pumps.
