Dear John,
For decades, my seat has been a reliably Democratic seat, but because of Georgia’s voter suppression laws, gerrymandering, and a flood of GOP dark money, I’m in one of the closest races in the country. Can you make a contribution today to help defend my seat?
Let me tell you about the differences between my opponent and me:
I believe that reproductive rights should rest with a woman, her God, and her doctor, but my opponent believes the government should pass a no-exceptions abortion ban.
I supported legislation to curb gun violence and make our country safer, but my opponent believes we should do nothing to protect our children and communities from gun violence.
I have upheld our democracy and the sanctity of our elections, but my opponent repeatedly shared conspiracies about 2020 election fraud on Facebook and refused to say Joe Biden won the Presidency.
I have also supported historic legislation to combat climate change, lower prescription costs, and cut the deficit, but on the campaign trail, my opponent has railed against this very legislation.
Whether or not I win this race has a host of implications for our country. If we fail to protect my seat, we will lose our Democratic House majority. And if Republicans take control of Congress, they will roll back our rights, gut Social Security and Medicare, and undermine our democracy for their own political gains.
