Dear John,
Election Day is almost here! If you haven’t voted yet, add your voice to the millions of votes that have already been cast by voting in person before polls close tomorrow or by returning your mail ballot to a dropoff location right now. Here are a few other important reminders:
✔️ Learn about your voting equipment ahead of time. Visit the Verifier to see what voting equipment will be used in your polling place or vote center! Visit our Voting Equipment Database for even more resources and instructional videos about your voting equipment.
✔️ Follow your local elections office for up-to-date information. Local election officials often use social media to share accurate information and important updates. Look up your election official’s contact information by visiting the Verifier and clicking on your state and county.
✔️ Check your ballot. The simplest thing you can do to secure your vote is to double check your paper ballot to verify your selections before casting your vote, especially if you’re using an electronic voting machine to fill out your ballot.
✔️ Remember, election night is not results night. Election workers need time to count and verify every ballot — including in-person, mail, absentee, overseas, and military ballots — and doing so is a sign that our democracy is working.
✔️ Call the 866-OUR-VOTE hotline if you encounter issues. We’re working around the clock with the Election Protection coalition to monitor and advise on election equipment issues across the country. If you encounter any problems while voting, call the Election Protection hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683).
With thanks,
Corrie Emerson, Senior Communications Officer
