Waterfowl hunters be aware of license and stamp requirements

CHEYENNE ??If you are preparing to waterfowl hunt this season, be sure to have all your licenses and stamps before heading out. The Wyoming Game and Fish Department would like to remind the public that Wyoming has several license and stamp requirements that hunters must abide by when afield.?

Hunters, checking your CWD test results is easy

CHEYENNE ? Hunters who had tissue samples collected from their deer, elk or moose this hunting season for chronic wasting disease testing can easily check the results of those tests on the Wyoming Game and Fish Department?s website. Results from the Game and Fish Wildlife Health Lab are typically available within three weeks.

CWD detected in new Wyoming elk hunt area

SHERIDAN? ? The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has confirmed the presence of chronic wasting disease in Elk Hunt Area 33. The disease was detected in a hunter-harvest bull elk in October. To ensure hunters are informed, Game and Fish announces when CWD is found in a new hunt area.

Brucellosis detected in Wyoming elk hunt area

CHEYENNE ??The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has detected brucellosis in Elk Hunt Area 45 in the Bighorn Mountains. The disease was detected in a hunter-harvest bull elk in October.?Brucellosis has not been documented in livestock in this area.

Closing soon: Wyoming Wildlife photo contest

CHEYENNE ? Only one week remains to submit entries to the 2022 Wyoming Wildlife magazine annual photo contest. Photographers of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to submit their best shots by midnight on Nov. 14. Winning entries and honorable mentions will be published in the February 2023 photo issue of Wyoming Wildlife.
