Friend,
Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for this campaign -- I can’t thank you enough for your support.
As the year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on what it has meant to have you on my team for this incredible journey together.
When I announced this campaign, I knew the odds were against us.
I didn’t have a massive email list or millions in the bank to transfer over to my campaign account.
I knew I didn’t have billions in my own bank to fund this campaign myself. We were building from scratch.
But because of you, the collective hard work of thousands of volunteers, and the dedication of everyone on our team - we’re building something truly remarkable.
We’re running a different kind of campaign that many wouldn’t think possible. Our campaign has been bold, standing up for the most vulnerable people and telling the truths others won’t.
As we begin 2020, there are still hundreds of thousands of people sleeping on the streets. There are still far too many subjected to police brutality.
There are still families subjected to Trump’s cruel cuts to food assistance, and immigrants subjected to his immigration agenda. There are still billionaires reaping the benefits of his tax scam while families struggle to pay rent or cover health care costs.
That’s why this campaign has been about lifting up the voices of marginalized communities and proposing real solutions to fix our greatest problems.
We can tackle the housing crisis, we can expand SNAP benefits to make sure families have enough to eat. We can end Trump’s cruelty, reform our immigration system, and ensure every student has access to higher education or a good job.
We can build the smartest, healthiest, fairest, and most prosperous nation on earth. We can make this country better than it has ever been, but we can’t do it if we’re too afraid to do big things, and we can’t do it by leaving people behind.
Happy New Year,
