Virginia Democrats have been given a challenge: in VA-02 and in VA-07, Congresswoman Luria and Congresswoman Spanberger are running for re-election in two of the closest races in the nation.

The results of these elections could decide who holds the Speaker’s gavel in 2023, and whether President Biden will have a Congress that will work with him, or stand against all the progress we’ve made during his time in office.

Republican leaders in both chambers have even laid out plans that will go after Medicare and Social Security if they take power.

The Democratic Party of Virginia is working every day to ensure Elaine, Abigail, Jennifer Wexton, and the rest of my colleagues over in the House are re-elected on Tuesday.

That’s why the team over at the state party asked me to send you this email. Can they count on you chipping in to help us win these races? It’s going to take all of us to keep these seats and protect our Democratic majority in the House.
