John,
Tomorrow is the day we’ve been waiting and working so hard for: Election Day.
We have come too far to miss our shot at doing something special together.
This is our opportunity to make transformative change for Maryland. Polls will be open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm. Please take a moment to find your polling place and make a plan to vote tomorrow. There is too much at stake to sit on the sidelines.
Many Maryland voters have already cast their ballots early or by mail. I was humbled to cast my vote early last week in West Baltimore with my wife Dawn and daughter Mia by my side. What an absolute honor it was to vote for this movement we’ve built together.
This journey started last year when I announced my campaign for governor. I have spent my life defying the odds: I lost my father to a treatable illness when I was three years old, was raised by a single mother and my grandparents, got into some trouble in my teens, and was ultimately sent to military school.
From there, I joined the U.S. Army and led soldiers in combat in Afghanistan and went on to become a Rhodes Scholar, a small business owner, and the CEO of one of the nation’s largest poverty-fighting organizations.
Now, with your support, I want to continue serving others by becoming the next Governor of Maryland and creating a state that leaves no one behind.
My running mate Aruna and I are committed to fighting for every Marylander by standing up for our democracy and reproductive rights, creating work, wages, and wealth, giving every student a world-class public education, making healthcare more affordable, saving lives by preventing gun violence, taking bold action on climate change, and creating a 21st century public transit system.
Our vision is resonating across the state because we are leading with the values that we embrace as Marylanders — meanwhile, our opponent is an extremist whose views and policy proposals are a danger to Maryland’s families.
The choice could not be more clear.
We will win this election because of you all. Because you pushed. Because you believed. And because you always show up.
Before voters head to the polls, can you make one last contribution to fuel our campaign to victory? Every dollar makes a difference, and I deeply appreciate your support.
