John,

Remember how Trump was planning to “wage a legal and activist crusade” against our “election integrity” as cover to disenfranchise our voters?

He held a rally here in PA on Saturday, and there’s no telling what the lies and unhinged rhetoric he spewed will incite his fanatics to do in the coming days.

If this goes like his “challenges” in 2020 — which all indications suggest will be the case — we need to be ready for anything tomorrow and beyond. Can you donate $10 today to help us prepare?

His allies were caught on tape months ago discussing their goal to set “thousands of little brush fires all over the state” in the hopes of overwhelming our capability to put them out and burning our democracy to the ground.

The clear response is to overwhelm them by turning out more pro-democracy voters than they can suppress.

And John, the path to succeeding at that is by centering historically disenfranchised communities of youth, immigrants, Black, Indigenous, and other people of color. Will you chip in $10 right now to help us empower them to defend our democracy?

John, did you see this breaking news?

HEADLINE: Trump Plans to Challenge the 2022 Elections — Starting in Philly
The former president is fixated on challenging the results of Pennsylvania’s Senate race, which he views — as one source puts it — as a “dress rehearsal for Trump 2024” -- Rolling Stone

This is terrible news for Pennsylvania and American democracy alike. When Trump says he’s focusing on Philly, what he really means is he’s focusing on disenfranchising Black voters. Will you rush a donation of $10 today to fight back and protect our democracy from a twice-impeached egomaniac?

There’s a lot of chilling information in this Rolling Stone report, but this line really takes the cake for us: “Trump and other Republicans are already preparing to wage a legal and activist crusade against the ‘election integrity’ of Democratic strongholds such as the Philly area.”

It’s unclear how far he and his cronies will take their crusade, given the PA GOP’s plan to burn our democracy to the ground even before Trump got personally involved.

From renewed efforts to disenfranchise eligible voters over irrelevant nuisance requirements to threatening and intimidating both voters and election workers, the GOP has already shown they’re going to take to the streets and the courts to subvert our democracy.

One thing is clear, though: the best way to fight back against this is to mobilize a majority bigger than they can disenfranchise.

Hundreds of thousands of voters are a lot harder to disenfranchise than a thousand, and Trump has already made it clear he’s counting on close or ambiguous results to bolster the ‘credibility’ of his challenges.

John, we MUST ramp up our efforts to protect our youth, immigrants, Black, Indigenous, and other people of color from the attacks coming their way. Will you give $10 right now to help us mobilize a response?

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in underrepresented immigrant communities and communities of color. We register communities to vote, provide civic education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize Pennsylvanians to vote in every election.
