Jayme Stevenson Poised to Become First Congresswoman in Over 75 Years for Connecticut’s 4th District
Promises have been broken. Connecticut needs a Champion for Children, Women, Families and Small Businesses. Jayme has worked on a bi-partisan basis addressing the most pressing local, regional and state public policy issues facing CT. As a former First Selectman for 10 years, she supported law enforcement, kept mill rates low and testified against zoning overreach from Hartford.

- YOU and CT deserve present and responsive representatives.
- While Jayme served as First Selectman for 10 years, through hurricanes, floods and a global pandemic, not once did Himes reach out, to see how her town was doing. Not Once.
- Many towns and residents were delayed in receiving FEMA funding and reimbursements after Sandy and other emergencies.
- Jayme will be responsive to the needs of ALL municipalities in the district.
- CT is 50th in the nation, dead LAST, in federal funds coming back to our state.
- CT pays the second highest in federal taxes and taxpayers. Himes has done nothing to restore state and local tax deductions.
- Jayme will work collaboratively with ALL local and state leaders and focus on the strategic needs of our 17 municipalities.
- Every student deserves access to quality education in a safe learning environment.
- Himes voted against "Protecting Our Children Act" with SROs and mental health counselors funded by remaining COVID dollars.
- Jayme has heard the pleas from parents, teachers, and superintendents and will ensure that children are protected and have access to support.
- Parents are the primary caregivers for their children and have ultimate responsibility for them.
- Jayme’s opponent voted against an amendment to inform parents when children receive any mental health, crisis, or other wellness services from their school.
- As a Mother, Jayme understands that parents are responsible for their children’s emotional, mental health and medical care.
So Please, Get Out & Vote
It’s Time for a Champion for CT in DC!

ABOUT JAYME
I’m running for Congress to bring common sense and balance back to Washington and to give voice to the people of the 4th Congressional District who have been left behind by politicians working for themselves and a national party agenda. As a trusted leader and mother of five children, I understand the impacts government policies have on our communities and promise to fight for Connecticut children, families and businesses. |
