Tuesday, November 8, 2022, is Election Day in Connecticut. Here are five fast facts about voting in the state that you might find helpful:

POLLS OPEN AT 6AM AND CLOSE AT 8PM: If you are waiting in line when the polls close at 8:00 p.m., stay there because you can still cast your ballot as long as you don't leave the line.LOCATE YOUR POLLING PLACE: Your local polling place may have changed since the last time you voted. To check where you vote, visit [[link removed]].PREVIEW THE BALLOT: The ballots for every town in Connecticut have been published on the state's website, giving voters an opportunity to preview them before entering the voting booth. To look at the ballots for your town, click here [[link removed]].ELECTION DAY REGISTRATION: If you are eligible to vote but are not registered, it's not too late! Connecticut has Election Day Registration, giving eligible voters an opportunity to both register and vote on Election Day. This can only be done at one specifically designated location in each town and cannot be done at your polling place. You will need to provide proof of identity and residency. To find your town's Election Day Registration location and read more about these requirements, visit [[link removed]].DON'T FORGET TO VOTE ON THE QUESTION REGARDING EARLY VOTING: This year, all voters statewide will have an opportunity to vote on whether Connecticut adds an amendment to the state constitution allowing for a system of early voting to be created.
