Indivisibles,

The election is tomorrow (it came so fast!) and there’s one important thing to remember: Pollsters Have “No F*cking Idea What’s Going to Happen” This Election.

From the beginning of this cycle, there has been so much doom and gloom spread about how the Democrats could not possibly win the midterms. Whether it was polling averages, historical trends, or the compounding effects of gerrymandering, the story was already written -- Democrats will lose big in November.

But we didn’t give up.

We organized.
We called.
We canvassed.
We sent postcards.
We. Got. To. Work.

In a year where all signs pointed to an overwhelming defeat, we are within striking distance of holding and expanding our majorities in the House and the Senate. That is incredible.

We don’t know what will happen tomorrow and neither does anyone else. What we do know is that your work paid off: What was once unthinkable is now within our grasp. This is what it means to be Indivisible.

With our final 24 hours, let’s leave it all on the field. Lock in your voting plan. Check in on your friends’ voting plans. Join our final phonebank.

The work continues until the final ballot is counted. This is how we win.

With that, here are your weekly to-dos:

 Your 5 weekly to-dos

  1. Join us for our final GOTV phonebank of the season tonight Monday, November 7 at 6pm ET/3pm PT. Our South Pod will be making calls for Cheri Beasley and Raphael Warnock. We have an opportunity to pick up crucial wins in Georgia and North Carolina. Join us for our final session.
  2. Click here to make a final push GOTV Soapboxx video to voters. Share your voting plan. Show your voter pride. Make your final arguments. Take a minute to let the world know why this election is important to you. And when you’re finished, call five friends and make sure they also have a voting plan!
  3. Click here to download a Know Your Rights resource from the ACLU (PDF) or, if you’d like an online resource, click here for a resource from the Advancement Project on what to do if you experience harassment at the polls. We all know MAGA extremists do not respect the sanctity of voter rights and are not above resorting to intimidation and violence. Don’t be scared -- the vast majority of folks vote with no issues whatsoever. You can also always contact the Election Protection Hotline to report any instances of intimidation, harassment, or suspicious behavior by calling 866-OUR-VOTE or going to 866ourvote.org
  4. Click here to register for our National Post-Election Call on Thursday, November 10 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Join Indivisibles across the nation as we go over the current status of the election, discuss how we’re preparing to push for change after November -- and, most importantly, we’ll celebrate YOU and the tremendous work Indivisible leaders have accomplished in 2022.
  5. Join the Georgia Votes Cure Phonebank tomorrow Tuesday, November 8 at 12pm ET/9am PT. Support candidates in Georgia by working with the Democratic Party of Georgia Voter Protection team to help voters cure rejected absentee ballots. Finding and curing these ballots will be vital to winning close races. Let’s make sure every vote is counted.

Through postcards, and phonebanks, and canvasses, and so much more, Indivisible has been here to support the grassroots this election season. Campaigns may be drawing to a close, but our work never stops. Donate today to ensure we can continue to defend democracy moving forward.

National Events

RSVP for Building a Broader We: A conversation with Ian Haney Lopez on Monday, December 5 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Rich, powerful elites have used strategic racism to achieve their economic agenda for centuries. These attacks are shifting, threatening the gains we’ve made towards a stronger, more representative democracy. The race-class-gender approach exposes the limitations of how the left has historically called out racism and provides a roadmap for building a truly cross-racial progressive movement. Join us for a conversation with Ian Haney Lopez -- Berkeley Law professor and race-class architect.

Protect Our Elections Movement Briefings

In the 2020 election, our movement came together and we prevailed by speaking with one voice. RSVP for the Protect Our Elections Movement Briefings beginning this Wednesday, November 9 at 11:30am ET/8:30am PT where we’ll discuss how to successfully navigate the post-election period and provide the latest research and messaging guidance on election threats.
