Maybe we’re all just one big example of the boiling frog 🐸 effect: we’ve all been gradually, and for a long time, immersed in slowly heating water and we’re unable to notice the creeping and dire change in our circumstances. So we enjoy the hot tub instead of getting out to vote, to fight, to live.
So Vote 🗳:
- For women who need safe access to abortion. After miscarriage, after rape, after choosing not to be a parent.
- For the queer kids who cannot be forced back into the evil closet and should never have to worry about hatred from adults.
- For communities of color and for truly equitable access to the dream.
- For those brilliant ones of us who don’t abide by gender roles and can’t quite understand why it causes so much hate.
- For your mind … and the freedom to read any book you want and study or talk about real history.
- For your neighbor who needs exorbitantly priced medication to stay alive.
- For a world where climate change will make migrants of us all unless we act.
Vote like someone else’s life depends on it. Because it does.
