Friend,
Tomorrow, voters head to the polls in our must-win Senate race. All the hard work this team has put in – the dollars donated, the phone calls made, the doors knocked, the signs displayed, the neighbors and friends spoken to – all of it has led to this moment.
So today, from the bottom of my heart, I want you to say thank you. Thank you for everything you've done, Friend. I'm so grateful to have your support.
We ran a strong, honest campaign. We focused on making progress for the people of this state. My opponent, by contrast, ran a campaign focused on dishonest attacks and courting favor from Donald Trump.
This much is clear: In the Senate, my opponent would be a voice for Trump. I will be a voice for the people of Connecticut – just as I've always been. That's what's at stake in this race.
While everyone in the GOP from Rick Scott to Ronna McDaniel to Trump himself has made this seat a target for defeat, I'm feeling proud of the campaign we ran – and, if everyone gets out and votes, I know that we'll win.
Tomorrow, when we win this race, we will have done our part in protecting a Democratic-controlled Senate that will continue to deliver on the issues that matter to the vast majority of Americans.
It's the honor of my life to serve as Connecticut's U.S. Senator. Thank you again for your support. And if you haven't had the chance to yet, get out there and vote – and make sure your friends and family do too!
Sincerely,
Dick
