National Disability Employment Awareness Month

NDRN celebrated National Disability Employment Awareness Month with a new series called Disability Rights in the Workplace. Advocating for Better Transportation

A cornerstone of NDRN’s advocacy for full community integration is improving access to transportation for people with disabilities. In September, NDRN called on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to ensure new autonomous vehicles are accessible to people with disabilities. And for those of you following our work to make Amtrak trains more accessible, we also received a response from Amtrak regarding the concerns we raised about the narrow aisle width of new trains. Equipped to Evacuate: Evacuation Chairs

NDRN is proud to present Equipped to Evacuate! The first in a new series focused on emergency evacuations for people with disabilities. Join us for our first session on evacuation chairs and their usefulness when navigating workplace, home, and transportation emergencies.
