There was the Inflation Reduction Act and its measures to lower insulin and other drug prices for seniors and the biggest steps in U.S. history to address climate change. Because of the bipartisan infrastructure bill, we secured funding for the Gateway Tunnel project to improve commutes and help drive our economy. We passed the first new gun-safety law in decades, and the PACT Act will ensure veterans exposed to toxic chemicals while serving get the health care they need and have earned.
That’s what this job is all about, and I’m proud to do it.
We’ve been working hard to defend this Frontline seat in the House so we can continue the work we’ve started in Congress. I know our fight can be challenging, but I know we can do this.
How do I know? Because we’ve done it before.
In 2018, we flipped NJ-11 for the first time in over 30 years, making the biggest swing from red to blue in the country that year. And in 2020, we overcame a wave of ugly GOP attacks and hundreds of millions of dollars spent against Democrats like me.
This team knows how to overcome a challenge. So do I. I’ve done it since joining the Naval Academy at 18 years old. I’ve flown helicopters and landed them in the pitch-black of night. I served as a federal prosecutor. I’m the mom of four kids.
Together, we can do this -- but we need to finish strong.
