John,

Holding COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, has sharpened the focus on Africa's role in the fight against global climate change.

One of the most important discussion points at COP27 is how the world can support climate action that is inclusive and beneficial to developing nations.

It's an issue Bloomberg Philanthropies has been working on with partners across Africa. As COP27 began, Mike stood alongside African leaders to share a plan that will help move the world beyond coal, by turbocharging clean energy finance in the Global South.
