A look at what the GOP has in store
Tomorrow’s election will have major consequences one way or another. Simply put – everything is on the ballot.
Republican leaders in Congress have clearly laid out their plans in recent weeks should they be allowed to retake the majority next year. Here’s a small menu of what they have in store for America, and it’s not good.

But we can stop them, John, if we keep the GOP out of power and elect bold progressives like our BNC candidates tomorrow.
With more progressives in Congress we can bolster the fight for universal healthcare, a Green New Deal, stronger unions, living wages, education for all, racial justice, voting rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and so much more.
Brand New Congress is supporting some of the most consequential races of this election cycle. Our candidates are running to fill open seats and flip red seats with bold progressive fighters to join our BNC electeds in Congress.
Help Brand New Congress get our candidates across the finish line tomorrow AND build our capacity to elect even more bold progressives in 2024. [[link removed]]

What to watch for on Election Night
The biggest races to watch tomorrow will be:
U.S. Senate races to watch
Kentucky
Charles Booker faces Rand Paul to represent Kentucky. Paul is rated as one of the Top Ten LEAST popular Senators by the nonpartisan polling firm Morning Consult. Charles has built a powerful coalition “from the Hood to the Holler” made up of traditional Democratic voters, independents, and Republican voters frustrated by Paul’s obstructionist policies.
Pennsylvania
Polling is neck and neck in the Pennsylvania Senate race between John Fetterman and Mehmet Oz – but John is still ahead by 6 points among “definite voters” according to the latest polling. [[link removed]] This race will likely be decided by mail-in ballots and it may take several days [[link removed]] before we know the results.
U.S. House races to watch
California
Angélica Dueñas faces off against incumbent Tony Cárdenas once again to represent the San Fernando Valley. Following a recent scandal of racist commentary from a member of the L.A. City Council [[link removed]] , some election watchers predict there may be an influence on the upcoming elections and give challengers an opening to win.
Katie Porter’s re-election bid to represent the newly drawn CA-45 was recently changed to a “toss-up” race [[link removed]] . Despite the millions of dark money Republicans have spent to stop her, Katie maintains the advantage in this race as one of the most popular members of Congress with a strong organizing operation. BNC has every confidence in the congresswoman and we look forward to celebrating her re-election.
Tennessee
BNC’s Odessa Kelly is up against blatant voter suppression [[link removed]] in her race to flip TN-07 and become the first openly gay Black woman elected to Congress. Odessa was recently featured by Good Morning America alongside BNC’s Becca Balint [[link removed]] as LGBTQ+ candidates making history this year.
Texas
One of the closest races of this cycle [[link removed]--] is expected to be Michelle Vallejo’s bid to represent TX-15, whose pro-Trump Republican opponent has called for looser gun laws, strict abortion bans, and a crackdown at the border for this South Texas community.
With so many close races, and millions more Americans voting by mail, we may not know the results of some of these elections for days.
Keep an eye out for updates via email, or follow Brand New Congress on social media for the latest news.

Since 2016 BNC has led the way in advancing popular policies like Medicare for All and the Green New Deal and electing bold progressive fighters. We recruited and elected AOC in 2018 and Cori Bush in 2020. With seven BNC Reps currently in office [[link removed]] , we are growing progressive power in Congress.
This November we’re working to flip multiple red seats, fill open seats with bold progressives, and elect our first BNC Senator by defeating Rand Paul.
Pitch in today and join us as we take over Congress and return power to the people.
