John, I'd like for you to get to know us a little better.

You've just taken action against injustice – thank you for keeping hope alive!

Your simple, powerful actions are used to weigh in at critical moments when our human rights are threatened or under attack.

Sometimes it's as simple as one of our campaigners marching up to an MP's office, with your signature and thousands of others, demanding they take notice.

Other times, it's more complicated and the fight takes a bit longer. But we will always do what it takes.

We're not afraid to get creative when we need to – from virtual reality headgear that gives people a glimpse into the conflict in Syria, delivering a giant missile prop to the Prime Minister to mobilising tens of thousands of people like you to march on Parliament to ask the UK to welcome more refugees. There are many different roads to make change.

We have our work cut out for us in the year ahead, so I'm really grateful to have you on our team.

Tep Vanny is free!

After being jailed for her peaceful human rights work, Cambodian land rights activist Tep Vanny was finally granted a royal pardon and walked free from prison!

Thousands of Amnesty supporters took action, colouring in postcards, signing petitions, and even spamming the Prime Minister's Facebook wall. We're thrilled that Vanny is now reunited with her family.

Taner released from prison!

Our colleague and Honorary Chair of Amnesty Turkey, Taner Kılıç has been freed from jail, and we could not be more overjoyed.

It has taken a year of tireless campaigning, and millions of Amnesty supporters like you speaking out to help make this happen. Now, we won't stop fighting until all the false charges against him are dropped.

26,147 taken. Help us reach 30,000.

After years of campaigning, women in Saudi Arabia are finally allowed to legally drive.

But in a cruel twist, three women who bravely fought for this right have been arrested and branded ‘traitors’. They face up to 20 years in prison. Demand Saudi Arabia release them immediately.

Home Secretary: Reunite refugee families

19,952 taken. Help us reach 30,000.

Many refugee families are being forced apart. After fleeing conflict and persecution, unfair and restrictive rules are forcing people to make an impossible decision: family or safety?

The stroke of a pen could reunite these families. Tell the Home Secretary, Sajid Javid to change these rules.
