In under 24 hours, polls will open in Illinois. Voters across the 17th District will decide between two very different candidates to represent our community.

Before we ask you to chip in $5 to fuel our final get out the vote push, here's a side-by-side look at the decision voters have.

Kevin McCarthy: IL-17 is my “#1” House race in the country.

Esther King moved into IL-17 in the hopes of running in and winning in this swing district. It's all politics with King, and she's ready to rubber stamp Kevin McCarthy's entire agenda in Congress. She backs the abortion ban, and supports a plan that would end Medicare and Social Security as we know it.

Our job over the next 24 hours is to make sure voters support local weatherman and Democrat Eric Sorensen instead.

Eric was born and raised in this community, and has served viewers for over decades delivering weather news. He takes his cues from local voters, which is why he supports reproductive rights, collective bargaining, protecting Social Security, and defending LGBTQ+ rights. 

The contrast couldn't be clearer, but we need to raise our final $25,000 before 11:59 PM to fully fund our final get out the vote push. Will you step up with $5 to keep IL-17 blue?
