Good afternoon friend,

Your MP needs to know that reform on assisted dying is coming and could soon be legal on our doorstep. Please invite your MP to an important parliamentary meeting, bringing together lawmakers from Scotland, the Isle of Man and Jersey, all places with plans to reform their laws soon. Will you invite your MP today?

Progress on assisted dying is surrounding Westminster. Across the British Isles, assisted dying bills are being consulted upon and debated, following the well-trodden path to law change established in the US, Australia and New Zealand.

This will be an in-person meeting, so MPs in the room will be able to benefit from the wisdom and insight of their counterparts. It’s so important that your MP understands the progress being made so close to home. The assisted dying bill in Scotland could become law in the next 18 months. This isn’t something that can be pushed into the long grass. MPs must recognise the need for change.

If your MP doesn’t know about the meeting they won’t attend. Your MP needs to know this is an issue that is important to you. No one can deny the political turmoil that has taken over the news cycle. We have to keep assisted dying on the agenda and make sure that whatever happens, we are still driving progress for dying people.

Thanks in advance for sending this quick email. I’ll be in touch again soon.

All the best,

Sadie Kempner
