John,
Election Day is just one week away! And, with millions of votes still to be cast, voters need to know exactly how Republicans in Congress have voted on the critical issues.
Help us bring our latest infographic, below, to voters across the country and fight for an economy and a tax system that puts money in the pockets of seniors and working people while making sure the wealthy and corporations pay their fair share!
This year, Democrats passed the historic Inflation Reduction Act, which lowers the cost of prescription drugs for seniors by allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices with pharmaceutical corporations, caps out-of-pocket expenses at $2,000 and caps the cost of insulin at $35 a month. And cost savings from the legislation are helping 13 million people afford health insurance.
The bill ensures billion-dollar corporations pay a 15% minimum tax and don’t get away with paying $0 in federal income tax. It significantly increases resources to crack down on wealthy and corporate tax cheats and help everyday taxpayers get their tax refunds on time and questions answered more quickly. And, it makes historic investments in combating the climate crisis, which will also help consumers save money from lower energy costs.
Republicans voted against each of these items, which make critical investments in working people, seniors, and our future. With just one week until Election Day, let’s make sure voters know! Pitch in today to bring our latest infographic to voters across the country.
