Polling Reveals Overwhelming 81 Percent of Americans Dissatisfied with the Economy
NBC: Republicans held a 9-point advantage in high voter interest, 78% to 69%. Still, the overall political environment remains grim for Democrats. Only 44% of voters approve of President Biden’s job performance, while 53% disapprove; more than 70% think the country is headed in the wrong direction; and a combined 81% say they are “very” or “somewhat” dissatisfied with the U.S. economy ( NBC). RNC Research: NBC POLL: 81% of Americans say they’re “dissatisfied” with the state of the economy. “This is the second-highest number we’ve ever recorded. The last time it was this high was just before the 2010 election” ( Twitter).

Inflation on Voters’ Minds While Heading to the Polls
ABC: Presidents have long trusted that voters would reward them for strong economic growth, but inflation has thrown a monkey wrench into the already difficult probability of Democrats’ retaining control of the House and Senate. Economic anxieties have compounded as the Federal Reserve has repeatedly hiked its benchmark interest rates to lower inflation and possibly raise unemployment. Mortgage costs have shot upwards, while the S&P 500 stock index has dropped more than 20% so far this year as the world braces for a possible downturn ( ABC). Rona McDaniel: I don’t live in D.C. I live in Michigan. While Biden’s buddies get rich in D.C., every day I see families struggling to pay the bills, businesses burdened with rising prices, and children struggling to catch up in school because of their policies ( Twitter). Dem Journal Founder Kenneth Baer: 78% of voters polled by @politico and @morningconsult say inflation will play a “major role” in their vote ( Twitter).

Polling Indicates Republican J.D. Vance Up 8 Points in Ohio
Townhall: The Ohio Senate race always looked to be in the Republicans’ favor, but on Friday afternoon, Emerson College’s final poll in the race showed some particularly good news. Republican nominee J.D. Vance leads Rep. Tim Ryan, the Democratic nominee, by 8 percentage points, 51 percent to Ryan’s 43 percent. Among undecided voters, who account for 4 percent in these final days, Vance’s lead gets even higher, as he leads by 9 percentage points, with 53 percent to Ryan’s 44 percent ( Townhall). Emerson College Poll: OHIO POLL: @JDVance1 51%. @TimRyan 43%. 4% undecided. With undecideds: Vance 53%. Ryan 44% ( Twitter). Hill: A large plurality of respondents, 47 percent, listed the economy as the most important issue in determining their vote. Threats to democracy came in second with 14 percent, followed by abortion access with 12 percent ( Hill).

Manchin, who represents a red state dependent on the coal industry and who has clashed with the socialist wing of his party before, reacted after Biden vowed Friday to replace coal energy with wind and solar and shut down plants “all across America” ( Daily Wire). Townhall: BIDEN ON COAL: “We’re gonna be shutting these plants down all across America, and having wind and solar” ( Twitter). Stacey Abrams Sets the Stage for Voter Suppression Claims if She Loses Gubernatorial Election
Fox News: Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams argued that she will win her election on Tuesday if voters can “navigate” the alleged voter suppression systems installed in her state by her opponent Gov. Brian Kemp, R-Ga. She spent a good portion of her interview with MSNBC anchor Ali Velshi on Saturday complaining about Georgia Republicans’ supposed voter suppression initiatives and attempts to “game the system” to stay in power next election day, despite record early voting turnout across the state ( Fox News). Daily Wire: In addition to worrying about voter suppression amidst record voting turnout, Abrams has also warned voters that Georgians should elect her or transgender kids will be banned from playing with friends, parents will be forced to lie, 500,000 people will lose health care, and LGBTQ individuals won’t be protected ( Daily Wire).

Democrat Chairman Sean Patrick Maloney Defends Crime Policies and President Biden
National Review: Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) chairman Sean Patrick Maloney spoke with Meet the Press on Sunday morning and defended the Democratic Party’s stance on crime and policing. “We’re not perfect,” Maloney said, “but we are responsible adults, who didn’t attack the Capitol on January 6th.” He added that Democrats “don’t pretend we’re for law enforcement and then ignore 140 cops getting beat up on that horrible day” ( National Review). RNC Research: “How much responsibility do you think President Biden has for this political environment?” Democrat Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney: “I think the president gets a bum rap” ( Twitter). Hill: Biden has been seen as being a drag on certain Democratic campaigns, with his midterm strategy in the final days before the election being side-by-side with candidates in safe contests in decidedly blue states ( Hill).

NY Governor Kathy Hochul Pressed on Crime by MSNBC
Fox News: MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle pressed Gov. Kathy Hochul on crime and her plans to address it in New York City during an appearance on MSNBC on Friday, insisting New Yorkers don’t feel safe. After Hochul touted getting guns off the streets in New York and her partnership with New York City Mayor Eric Adams, Ruhle interrupted and emphasized that people do not feel good about crime in New York ( Fox News). RNC Research: Even MSNBC is calling out Democrat Kathy Hochul. “Here’s the problem: We don’t feel safe…I walk into my pharmacy, and everything is on lockdown because of shoplifters. I’m not going in the subway. People don’t feel safe in this town” ( Twitter). Post Millennial: New York Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul: Republicans “are master manipulators. They have this conspiracy going all across America trying to convince people that in Democratic states, they’re not as safe … They are data deniers” ( Twitter).

Liz Cheney Endorses Third Democrat for Midterms
There is a reason she was voted out of office. Axios: Republican Rep. Liz Cheney endorsed Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-Va.) for Congress on Saturday, marking her third Democratic endorsement ahead of the midterm elections. Cheney, a vocal critic of former President Trump, marked her support as Virginia’s Democratic-leaning swing district is expected to be key in deciding which party takes control of Congress ( Axios). Washington Examiner: The Wyoming Republican focused much of her campaign on denouncing Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election, urging Democrats and independents in the state to re-register to vote for her in the GOP primary. However, she finished far behind Trump-backed Harriet Hageman, a onetime ally and informal adviser to Cheney. Cheney is the fourth House Republican to lose her reelection bid after voting to impeach Trump ( Washington Examiner).

MSNBC Fires Host Tiffany Cross After Making Aggressive Comments About Florida
National Review: MSNBC has cut ties with weekend host Tiffany Cross, one day after she called Florida the “d*** of the country.” The network has decided not to renew Cross’s contract after two years and fired her, effective immediately. The production staff on her show, The Cross Connection, will remain at the network in different roles ( National Review). Mike Sington: This was thought to be the “last straw” that got Tiffany Cross fired from MSNBC- she calls Florida, “the d*** of the country”. Hours later she was let go ( Twitter). Megyn Kelly: Literally no one will miss her ( Twitter).

Ivy League Professor Calls for Amnesty Regarding Restrictive Covid Mandates
Daily Mail: A Brown University Professor is facing backlash from conservatives for demanding ‘pandemic amnesty’ for those who championed masking, lockdowns and vaccines. Economist Emily Oster earned harsh criticism from her opinion piece in The Atlantic, ‘Let’s Declare a Pandemic Amnesty,’ where she called on Americans to forgive and forget some of the failings of the COVID mandates ( Daily Mail). Lauren Chen: Forgiveness usually comes after an apology. I see no apology in this piece. Remember how you encouraged family members to pressure each other and the unvaxxed to be fired? Perhaps a little “I’m sorry for that” would be a good place to start ( Twitter). Last year, Professor Oster tweeted: Shaming people who haven’t gotten vaccinated is not likely to work at this point (or ever). What will? Individual family pressure: Maybe. Vaccine requirements for things you want to do (domestic air/train travel, work, sports events): Yes. We can have these without shame ( Twitter). This professor openly advocated for shaming and draconian mandates and is now, retroactively, asking to get away with a simple apology. Republicans have made known they will hold these type of people accountable and with he midterms coming up, she is trying to save face.

Brandon Tatum challenges the pernicious narrative that America is systemically racist
Officer Tatum: Many black folks that I know are smart, and we don’t fall for the bull crap. And the reason we don’t fall for the bull crap is, one, because we put God first, and two, because we have common sense and we don’t believe that we gotta follow the status quo.
Like I tell you, one of...

Charlie Kirk anticipates a strong finish for Republicans, despite being outspent by Democrats as much as 18-to-1
