It’s Senator Chris Murphy. I’m reaching out today because our democracy is facing unprecedented attacks.
Donald Trump and his acolytes have pushed conspiracy theories about the 2020 election being stolen.
Now, in swing states across the country, those same people actually want to be put in charge of running our elections and counting our votes.
Too many Republicans’ goal is to undermine our elections from the inside. They have made clear they are willing to tilt the scales in their favor – or even throw out the results of free and fair elections.
We must meet this moment and defend our democracy. And that starts with electing Democratic Secretaries of State who will protect the integrity of our elections.

Democratic Secretaries of State are the last line of defense to ensure the integrity of our elections. They safeguard our elections and make sure that when you go to the ballot box, your vote gets counted.
But now those same people who have been spreading lies about the last election are vying to control the next one. If they get their way, they could try to install Donald Trump as president even if we defeat him again in 2024.
The good news is my friends at The Democratic Association of Secretaries of State are working to elect candidates in critical swing states, like Arizona and Nevada, who will defend our democracy and ensure that our votes and our voices will be heard.
If we want to defend our democracy, we must preserve access to the ballot box. If we lose a single Secretary of State seat, the consequences could be catastrophic. Can we count on you to chip in today?
