Here’s how I know: In 12 years in the Senate, he’s never passed a bill. He
also refused to debate me. And he closed all but one of his in-state
offices.
Put simply: He doesn’t care about Kentucky. But I do.
I can represent the people of Kentucky because I know what it’s like to
struggle.
Growing up, I experienced the pain of poverty firsthand and saw my mom
skip meals so that I could have enough. I’ve been homeless and have had to
ration my insulin because I couldn’t afford the medication I needed as a
Type 1 diabetic.
