Donald Trump went on another rant against me at his final Pennsylvania rally — one of his last warmup acts before reportedly announcing his presidential campaign next week.

“Shifty Adam Schiff and the whole group, they’re really sleaze…Adam Schiff made up my phone call. He said Trump said all of this horrible stuff, and he imitated me…Schiff, Shifty Schiff, went before Congress and spewed out a speech…and it was a totally phony speech.”

He was talking about the phone call in which he attempted to extort Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, by withholding American military aid in their fight against the Russians. In exchange, Trump wanted Zelensky to smear Joe Biden and help Trump in his losing re-election campaign.

And just today at another rally in Florida, the twice-impeached former guy attacked me again, calling me “a total fraud” and a “crooked person.”

“Yet after all their lies and corruption, these same people, like Shifty Adam Schiff … people say that is not a nice name, Shifty Adam Schiff. He’s not a dummy, but a total fraud. This represents watermelon head, so I said watermelon head. People said that is not a nice thing. I said this guy tried to destroy a lot of very good people. He’s a bad guy, a crooked person.”

Here's the bottom line: We can’t let the Republican Party take back Congress and give Donald Trump a bigger platform to spread his lies, undermine our elections, and attack our democracy.
