Before last month, we’d never written a political email or told our personal stories at a press conference. We never imagined that would be our path, but this race made us feel like we had to speak out.

We always wanted kids. So when we learned we were pregnant, we were ecstatic. But that quickly changed to fear when we learned our baby girl, Ivy Grace, had a critical fetal anomaly.

We knew there was no hope, but under Nancy Mace’s 6 week abortion ban in South Carolina, there was nothing we could do.

That’s how we ended up flying hours to Washington D.C. to get a medical procedure we should've been able to get much closer to home. Nancy Mace’s policies did that.

Look, we’re not Democrats. We usually keep out of really partisan politics. But this isn’t a matter of politics for our family or millions of other women— it’s the difference between right and wrong.

Nancy Mace, in drafting a 6 week abortion ban and supporting a federal ban with no exceptions and bans on IVF, is wrong.

To add insult to injury, when we told our story at the press conference with Annie, Nancy Mace sent a group of men to stand in the audience to jeer and laugh at us.
