Here’s the honest truth: If Republicans get their way this year, the tax burden is going to fall on the middle class. Not only that -- they have three plans to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits. And they’re not going to stop there.

They’re going to repeal my plan to allow Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices. And, in doing so, raise drug prices and your health insurance premiums.

These kinds of policies have failed the country before, and will fail it again. It’ll mean more wealth to the very wealthy, higher inflation for the middle class. That’s the choice we’re facing.

That’s why I have to ask: Will you chip in $5 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee today to help secure our House majority? Whatever you’re able to give will help prevent Republicans from making gains in just two days.

We’ve faced some of the most difficult challenges over the past few years, but we’re making real progress. We just have to keep going. I know we can.

I’ve never been more optimistic about our future. We just have to remember who we are. And that starts with these midterm elections.

Will you make a $5 donation to the DCCC today to help hold the House on November 8? I’ll be grateful for whatever you can pitch in.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being on this team. It means the world to me.
