I grew up helping out at my family farm in Pasco, WA, married my high school sweetheart Scotty, and became a nurse.

My whole life changed in 2005 when shrapnel from a suicide bombing permanently blinded my husband during his service to our country.

I’m not going to lie, I was angry for a long time, but that anger turned into motivation.

Motivation to stand up for what is right; drive to serve others; dedication to being a voice for the people.

That’s how I found myself in the final leg of my race for the U.S. Senate, and I’m stressed.
