John,
In a moment, I'm going to ask you to chip in to my re-election campaign one more time before Election Day. But first, I wanted to share the work I've accomplished and how I plan to continue fighting for you.
Since first being elected in 2012, I have spent my time in Congress standing up for working Northeastern Pennsylvanians. I've introduced over 60 pieces of legislation and more bipartisan bills than any other House Democrat – including bills to provide COVID-19 relief, improve our infrastructure, lower costs, expand access to health care, and more.
I've always believed that we need leaders who put people first – not politics. That's exactly the approach I take in Congress and it's why I've been named one of the most effective Democrats in Congress for my ability to get things done.
But our work is far from over. The future of the issues we care about – lowering costs, expanding access to health care, protecting Social Security and Medicare – are on the ballot this Tuesday.
My extreme opponent, Jim Bognet, is hoping he can win this "toss-up" race and help Republicans retake the majority so they can pass their dangerous agenda. He wants to undo all the progress we've made – we can't let that happen.
I'm ready to continue fighting for all Northeastern Pennsylvanians, but I need your help to win. Will you chip in to my campaign before midnight to help me reach my Get Out the Vote Fund goal so we can reach the voters we need to protect this seat?
Thank you,
Matt
