The "election denier trifecta." That's what The Guardian calls 3
Republican Secretary of State nominees in Arizona, Nevada, and Michigan.
If any of them win, "at least one prominent purveyor of Trump’s falsehoods
would play crucial roles overseeing election procedures for a state that
could be pivotal in determining the outcome of the next presidential
contest."

This is exactly what Liz Cheney has been warning of, recently saying "We
cannot give people power who have told us they will not honor elections…
It’s important for the nation and for the future functioning of our
constitutional republic."

John, for over a year PCCC members like you have been donating
to Democratic, pro-democracy Secretary of State campaigns in key
battleground states to protect the offices that will oversee the 2024
election. Now, these campaigns are fanning out across their states to Get
Out The Vote before the election ends on Tuesday.

[ [link removed] ]Can you donate to key Secretary of State campaigns in Arizona,
Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, and Nevada? These officials in
these battleground states could be our last line of defense against
efforts to overthrow our democracy -- and every dollar donated right now
can still boost their Get Out The Vote efforts.

Liz Cheney and The Guardian are not alone. Barack Obama is so concerned he
has been campaigning for Secretary of State candidates facing extremist
election-deniers in key 2024 battleground states.

President Biden said "MAGA Republicans do not respect the Constitution...
And they’re working right now in state after state to give power to decide
elections in America to partisans and cronies, empowering election deniers
to undermine democracy itself."

Rep. Adam Kinzinger, the other Republican on the January 6 Committee
besides Liz Cheney, is endorsing Democratic candidates for Secretary of
State as "xxxxxxs to defend against a real constitutional crisis in
2024." Kinzinger adds that, "a badly placed, bad-faith Secretary of State
can really throw the whole country into chaos."

Dan Rather writes: "The truth is that electing governors and Secretaries
of State who wish to undermine free and fair elections could very well end
democracy as we know it."

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace echoed the point: "The survival of our republic as
we know it hangs in the balance… Republican wins would make this November
8th a point of no return."

Secretary of State races typically don't get tons of national scrutiny,
but election-denying candidates in several battleground states are ahead
in the latest polls. In 2022, Democrats cannot afford to ignore the races
that will determine who conducts and oversees the 2024 election.

Colorado, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, and Nevada who stand between
democracy and authoritarian takeover -- and help support our work to elect
honest vote counters.

Thanks for being a bold progressive,
