John, I decided to run for Congress because I felt the call to serve. It’s the same calling that drove me to serve our country in Iraq and at sea, and the same calling that inspired me to defend our democracy and secure our elections back at home.
I knew running for Congress wasn’t going to be easy, and to be honest, it hasn't been. The corporate executive I’m running against has already spent $1 million trying to defeat me, and the dark-money groups and National Republicans propping him up are spending millions more.
But we have something worth so much more: A strong grassroots team, grown right here in western PA.
Our campaign resonates with western Pennsylvania families because we’re fighting for the things that matter most – bringing our supply chains back home, stronger protection for workers and unions, taking on unchecked corporate power, making billionaires and big corporations pay their fair share, protecting our right to vote, ensuring that women and girls across the country have access to legal abortion, and so much more.
So here’s the plan, John: With only 2 days left, it’s all about our ground game. It’s critical we connect with as many voters as possible, which means knocking on every single door we can in Beaver and Allegheny Counties and talking to folks about the issues that matter most.
