Election Day Countdown:
Election day is just 2 days away, John, and we’re training and placing Election Protection volunteers up until the last second. We’re going to make sure every vote is counted this year, but we need your help to ramp up our training efforts in this final stretch.
John, I’m writing to let you know about the smartest way you can make an impact on this year’s elections.
With hugely important races up and down the ballot, candidates are projected to spend almost $10 billion this year. But unfortunately, most of that money won’t do much for anyone. It will go toward running ads people tune out or go right into the pockets of political fundraising consultants.
If you are looking for a way to cut through the noise — giving in a way that will actually move the needle on issues you care about — I urge you to consider sponsoring an Election Protection volunteer today.
Our volunteers help voters when they need it the most: when they're facing confusion or suppression at the polls. As a friendly, pro-voter face, they help overcome obstacles to the ballot by providing both advocacy and access to resources.
Thanks to our training and support infrastructure, these volunteers are empowered to assist dozens of voters across a single shift — making the difference between a voter casting their ballot, or going home in frustration.
John, you’ve seen the efforts since 2020 to deny access to the ballot in states like Texas and Georgia: new voter suppression laws, confusion stirred up by election deniers, threats of political violence, and more. With your help, we’re fighting back, working directly with affected voters to help them exercise their most fundamental right.
With Election Day just 2 days away, we’re running out of time to finish building the volunteer network voters deserve. We’re already deep into training volunteers on the state-by-state rules around elections, but more are streaming in every day and we want to — we need to — train and place them with voters.
I’m sure you’re hearing from a ton of campaigns and causes right now — but I’m not asking for more money that’ll go to expensive consultants or buying the fifth ad slot on the local news.
Your donation will make a direct, measurable difference for at-risk voters casting their ballot, participating in our democracy, and rebuilding trust in our government. It’s one of the smartest and most impactful donations you can make this cycle.
We have the volunteers — both Common Cause members and other concerned citizens stepping up to assist voters in their communities. We just need the resources to train and empower them to protect voters on Election Day, and time is running out to build the infrastructure they need and deserve.
John, millions of voters will encounter harsh new anti-voter laws this election for the first time. Will you chip in $50 today to sponsor a volunteer, and help us ensure their voices are heard?
Thanks for all you do,
Jesse Littlewood, Vice President for Campaigns
