New Health Policy Brief
A new health policy brief released this week examines how Medicare and Medicaid Data can be integrated to improve care quality and equity among dual-eligible beneficiaries.

Authors Brittany Brown-Podgorski and Eric Roberts review existing data resources to study the dual-eligible population. Some of their key findings include:

  • Multiple administrative, survey, and assessment data sources exist to measure health care use, expenditures, and outcomes among dual-eligible people.
  • However, each data source has shortcomings that limit comprehensive analyses of care quality and health care equity among dual eligibles.
  • The authors recommend several improvements to support more robust measurement of care quality and monitoring of health care equity for dual eligibles.

This brief is part of a series on Medicare and Medicaid Integration that's produced with the support of Arnold Ventures.
