Oprah Winfrey just endorsed John Fetterman, giving him a big late boost in Pennsylvania’s crucial U.S. Senate race. (Remember… Oprah gave Dr. Oz his big break on TV some 20 years ago, helping launch his TV career and celebrity status.)
NPR reports, "Democratic candidate Fetterman has been hoping to win Winfrey's endorsement for months, given her status and influence among women and Black people."
If you’re looking for where your dollars can still make a difference -- this is a late-breaking event that John Fetterman’s campaign can capitalize on right through this Get Out The Vote weekend. Funds to help them do that absolutely can have an impact.

"If I lived in Pennsylvania, I would’ve already cast my vote for John Fetterman, for many reasons," Winfrey said in a conversation in which she backed other progressives around the country as well.
NPR continues:
"Winfrey, a high-profile liberal with star power, campaigned for Barack Obama in 2007 ahead of the Democratic primaries, voiced support for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and actively supported President Joe Biden in 2020...
Those candidates have counted on Winfrey's broad-based appeal."
The latest polls in this race are all over the map -- showing Fetterman ahead by as much as 6 points and behind by as much as 3. Turnout in the final days IS EVERYTHING.
