I’ve known the darkest of days. But confronted by despair, I summoned hope.

I have always loved connecting with people. Meeting them, singing with them, laughing with them. And then suddenly, I could not speak. My life changed forever.

It would have been easy to give up. But I was lucky. I had Mark by my side.

In the early days of my recovery, Mark wasn’t just my husband — he was my champion. My rock. And with him and a community of family, friends, nurses, doctors, and specialists, I kept moving forward. It took time and determination, but I found my voice again.

That is what Mark does. He brings people together, and he won’t ever give up on you. There will always be dark days, but with Mark I have hope. With Mark by my side I know I can make it through.

I know how special it is to have someone like Mark in your corner. I know how special it is to have so many supporters from all over in your corner, too. And I know how important it is to ask for help if you need it.

Now is one of those times: A new poll came out yesterday that has Mark down by 1%. With the election just days away, Mark needs you now more than ever.

So please, chip in whatever you can afford before Election Day. It would mean the world to Mark.
