I wanted to reach out to you one last time before tonight’s deadline.

This is our final end-of-quarter FEC deadline before the primary. Once it’s over, we’ll be in a sprint to Election Day.

This deadline will set the tone for the rest of the race. People will look at our numbers to see how much grassroots support we have and whether or not we have what it takes to win.

Now last quarter, we came close to outraising Henry Cuellar. He’s probably trying to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

Now, we don’t have to outraise or outspend him, but we do have to keep it close. The thing is — we don’t take corporate PAC money, and we don’t have billionaires waiting in the wings to bail us out. Instead, we have you.

I’m counting on you, John. Can you make a $3 donation to our campaign before midnight? We have to press harder than ever to make sure we can keep up with Henry Cuellar’s corporate special interest cash.

If we come out of this deadline with a massive showing of grassroots support, we’ll be in a strong position to win.
