This isn’t breaking news, John, but we’re going to say it anyway: Congress is too white and male. 

When our elected officials don’t look like the country they represent, it’s a problem. Diversity in Congress leads to diverse thinking and solutions to problems that might not even be on the old guard’s radar.  

An overrepresentation of old white men in Congress means things like reproductive rights, wage equality, and paid family leave don’t get prioritized — and they won’t unless we work hard to elect a Congress that looks more like us. 

Women — and especially women of color — running for office face so many more challenges than their white male colleagues. So we’re here to support them during their campaigns and make sure we get them elected.
