John,
On January 6, 2021, Donald Trump invited an armed mob to Washington, DC and unleashed them on the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to stop the certification of the free and fair presidential election. He failed to provide support to the Capitol Police who were overrun by armed vigilantes who were doing Trump’s bidding.
Since then, Trump has continued to perpetuate the Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen―undermining our elections and the future of our democracy. As a result, nearly 300 Republican election deniers are seeking congressional and state offices this November.[1]
Now, Elon Musk―the new billionaire owner of Twitter―has announced that he’s considering allowing Trump back on the social media platform.

Twitter has 41.5 million daily active users in the United States―providing a major platform for everyone from journalists to politicians to racist conspiracy theorists. Since Elon Musk’s takeover of Twitter, researchers have seen an "immediate, visible, and measurable spike" of hate speech on Twitter directed toward people based on race, religion, ethnicity, and orientation.[2]
Donald Trump is a threat to the safety of our citizens and to our democracy. He must not be allowed back on Twitter.
Sign now to demand Elon Musk keep Trump off of Twitter to protect democracy and the American people.
Together, we must do our part to ensure Donald Trump has absolutely no chance to continue spreading hate, division, and most importantly, violence.
Thank you for taking action today for the future of our country.
