Bigoted ads attacking trans kid are running in 25 states.
From Texas to Pennsylvania, GOP super PACs and dark money groups are spending millions to blanket the airwaves with transphobic messaging. Most of these anti-trans ads can be traced to America First Legal, an extreme group founded by Trump’s favorite aide Stephen Miller.
We must stand up against these despicable attacks on trans kids, John.
Experts were already warning that the recent wave of anti-trans legislation and rhetoric was having a damaging effect on LGBTQ+ kids. Trans youth are already at a higher risk of suicide because of how they are “mistreated and stigmatized by society,” and these GOP ads will just make it worse.
The only way we can protect our kids is to replace anti-trans elected officials with leaders who will stand up for LGBTQ+ rights.
