Well, the truth is there’s a race where a donation today can make that kind of difference. It’s Cheri Beasley’s race in North Carolina.

For months, against all expectations for 2022, polls have shown this race statistically tied. This week, another poll showed the race is 49% to 49%.

And this is despite the fact that Republican super PACs have spent over $64 million against Cheri. Democrats have been outspent here by a larger margin than in any other Senate Race in the entire country, but Republicans still cannot take down Cheri Beasley.

She’s heading into Election Day tied. She’s won statewide twice before — including in 2014, the last tough midterm Democrats faced. So if you’re looking for a race where a last-minute investment really can close the gap and make a difference, my bet is on Cheri Beasley.

If you can afford it, please consider splitting a contribution between Cheri Beasley’s U.S. Senate campaign in North Carolina and my campaign’s efforts to defend our majority. I wouldn’t ask if I didn’t believe your support could make a difference.

Look, you don’t have to take my word about how close this race is. Analysts from FiveThirtyEight and The Washington Post recently said this is one of the best chances for an upset, and National Journal moved North Carolina up in their rankings this week — rating it Democrats' second-best chance to flip a seat.

Cheri Beasley is showing a remarkable level of resilience. There’s something unique about her campaign and her candidacy that most of the media and pundits were missing for a long time. And now, she has a real shot to pull off this victory.

Her ability to withstand the nonstop attacks and not be drowned out by the tens of millions of dollars that Republicans have outspent her by shows that her strategy is working. Her campaign is spending every dollar as effectively and efficiently as they can, and your support today can make a real difference.

The polls show this race is likely to be close, and we shouldn’t be surprised if it comes down to just a handful of votes. Cheri’s last statewide race was decided by 401 votes, and with that kind of margin, every dollar really can make a difference.
