John —
After more than a decade of conflict, the crisis in Syria remains a major humanitarian emergency with nearly 7 million Syrians still displaced within the country. Families who are surviving in makeshift shelters and leaky tents now face a new threat: freezing rain, icy winds and dangerously cold temperatures.
The immediate need on the ground is to make sure that displaced people have shelter that protects them from the cold, and enough heating fuel, food and other essential supplies to survive this bitter winter.
We're counting on supporters like you to chip in to help Syrians face the cold nights ahead. Will you rush an emergency donation to bring warmth to families in Syria and crisis zones worldwide?
The ongoing violence in Syria is the root cause of so much of the hardship — but the winter makes everything more difficult, more dangerous.
This is the time of year when families living in poverty must choose between purchasing food or fuel for warmth.
This is the time of year when pregnant people, children, and seniors in rural areas most need access to medical care.
This is the time of year when supplies run low, when work is harder to find, when nights are harder to endure.
Your contribution will help power the humanitarian response in Syria and other crisis zones. Join other IRC supporters and chip in with an emergency gift today.
Getting through the winter months with warmth and safety is one step toward recovering and rebuilding for displaced Syrians.
The IRC is working to ensure that people can access food, water and shelter without falling into debt. We will continue to work with local health care providers to deliver lifesaving care with fixed and mobile clinics. And we will continue to listen to the concerns of Syrians so we can make sure they receive the support they need most.
Your steadfast commitment is a critical part of IRC's humanitarian response in Syria and other crisis zones. Click here to make your contribution now: https://go.rescue.org/e/937243/donate-syria-one-time/6v6nb/267858525?h=OdD_CeTf617PYVQTWuY_Rdaf1pmhz5LDJ1RGtdMruIc
