John,
Before anyone called me Governor or Mayor, I was known as “coach.” And to this day, that’s one of the titles I’m most proud of.
I coached my players that they should always be ready to take their first shot – advice I’ve been sure to follow during my first 20 months in office – but these guys taught me the most valuable lessons off the court.
I’m focused on improving our schools, raising wages, and leveling the playing field because I know too many of our kids haven’t been given the support they need to reach their full potential. When our kids get left behind, it takes a powerful toll on our local communities and the state’s overall economy.
