Dear MoveOn member,

With only 80 hours left until polls close, so many of us—and especially my
friends at MoveOn—are working around the clock to defend our democracy and
defeat MAGA extremists.

This election season has been grueling, and I understand if you are
running out of steam. But with so little time left, I want to take a
minute to remind all of us about what we're fighting for.

In Congress, we're fighting to stop dangerous extremists like Mitch
McConnell and Marjorie Taylor Greene from taking over leadership positions
and using that power to hold sham hearings, push bogus impeachment
proceedings, steal more Supreme Court seats, and put a stop to progress.

We're fighting to give Democrats the power to finally end the Jim Crow
filibuster and pass laws codifying Roe v. Wade and same-sex marriage,
stopping the GOP's racist attack on the vote, expanding access to health
care, and so much more.

And in the states, we are fighting tooth and nail to defend our democracy
and protect our rights.

For example, we are fighting to defeat Jim Marchant, the GOP secretary of
state candidate in Nevada—a state that has been reliably blue in every
presidential election since 2008—who is ahead in the polls and has
promised to give the state's electoral votes to Donald Trump in 2024, no
matter the real outcome.^1

And in states like Wisconsin, Michigan, and North Carolina, we are
fighting to protect access to abortion from Republican candidates who have
promised to ban it if they win.

[ [link removed] ]This is an existential fight for the heart of our nation, and the
stakes simply could not be higher. Which is why I'm asking: Can you rush

donation will be used to ensure that no stone is left unturned in these
final days as they get out the vote.

John, the outcomes of these elections will have real impacts
for our friends, our families, and our communities. We cannot forget that
as we head into these critical final days.

We're fighting to make sure no 10-year-old is forced to carry a pregnancy
to term after being raped.

We're fighting to make sure that no pregnant person is forced to travel
thousands of miles to access basic health care.

We're fighting to make sure trans kids can get the lifesaving health care
and support that they need.

We're fighting to make sure that the work of Martin Luther King Jr., the
Freedom Riders, and so many other brave civil rights activists is not
undone by Republicans looking to game the system to win elections.

We're fighting to protect the planet for our grandkids.

In these final hours, every single dollar counts. It means making one more
phone call, talking to one more voter, buying one more ad, and potentially
making the difference between winning and losing.
