Vasquez is running to defeat a Republican incumbent, Yvette Herrell, in one of the most competitive districts in the country. Herrell is a member of the Republican Study Committee, which put out a budget that would decimate middle class Social Security benefits, voucherize Medicare, and raise the retirement age to 70.

Leger Fernandez and Stansbury are both Democratic congresswomen and proud co-sponsors of the Social Security 2100 Act, which protects and expands our earned benefits. If elected to Congress, their Republican challengers would rubber stamp GOP plans to make massive cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
