Hi John,

Today, during a speech at the Labour Party Conference, I spoke about the choice facing New Zealanders at the next election.

It’s a choice between the Labour team that’s supporting people through tough times, or a National Party that preaches austerity while planning to line their own pockets with tax cuts.

As we gear up for what will be a close election, every dollar supporters like you give ensures we can run a strong campaign next year. If you can, will you chip in to make sure we can continue our work to support New Zealanders?

National is out of touch. In the middle of a cost of living crisis, Christopher Luxon’s number one priority is to give tax cuts to the wealthiest New Zealanders. Under the plan, Luxon would give himself a tax cut worth $18,000 a year, while someone earning the minimum wage would get just $2 a week.

We’ve seen before what goes on the chopping block when National decides to cut taxes for the rich. It's the vital services New Zealanders rely on - the services that will be more important than ever as we face the challenges ahead - that are hardest hit.

Labour is committed to continuing our balanced approach: investing in the public services we need, supporting people to meet their cost of living, and carefully managing our finances. We have the experienced team and we have the economic plan to get Kiwis through tough times.

There’s a lot at stake, but the choice is clear. With your support, we can make sure we have a Government working for all New Zealanders - not just the wealthy few. So, if you’re able to, donate today.

Thanks,
Grant Robertson
