Hi John,
I’m writing right now because we need a little help meeting our end-of-year fundraising goal.
It could mean the difference between victory and defeat for us in 2020. We need to meet our budget for this upcoming march, and your generosity will go a long way.
If you can afford it, right now is the best time to give because it will directly support the upcoming march. That includes things like buses, porta potties, garbage pick up, training, stages, permits, art and more.
Can you give a gift of $5 before midnight tonight?
If you can’t afford to give right now, we totally understand. I’m incredibly grateful for your support thus far. Even if only 10% of you pitch in, that would change the entire march and be a huge boost for this movement.
Right now our team is working around the clock to prepare for January 18th – just over two weeks away.
We’re working so hard to make this march as powerful, big, and organized as possible – the amount of work that goes on behind the scenes is immense, but we know it’s worth it.
This has been an incredible year for us. Some of the highlights include:
- In January, over a million people marched during the third Women’s March with 350 unique events across the country.
-
Women’s March became the longest running protest movement in the history of the country.
- We launched our Digital Defenders program, an online campaign to confront online bigotry and create healthy digital discourse.
- We rose up in D.C. to #ReclaimtheCourt and reminded Brett Kanavaugh that the fight isn’t over just because he put on a robe.
- We welcomed a new board of directors - 16 powerful, social justice trailblazers who are ready to take this movement to victory in 2020 and beyond.
-
We led the fight for impeachment that began on the first day of Trump’s presidency and won.
Your generous support has made this all possible and helped us organize three of the four largest mobilizations in the nation's history. Thanks to you, we’re on the path to make history again.
Please give your best gift before midnight and let’s set the tone for 2020 starting on January 18th.
These are trying times, and there’s so much at stake. Your continued support and belief in this movement means a lot.
Happy New Year,
Rachel
