Political violence should never – EVER – be a joke. Yet days after Paul Pelosi was viciously attacked in his home – by someone looking to harm the current Speaker of the House – Kari Lake was cracking jokes about the incident.
It just goes to show what kind of person Kari Lake is.
Lake has repeatedly verbally attacked all kinds of people, even criticizing members of her own party if they dare to speak against her positions. But to joke about political violence is to accept it, and to dehumanize the attack in a way that encourages more political violence.
It’s time for the extreme rhetoric and jokes to stop before more political violence occurs. Kari Lake seems incapable of stopping, so we have to make sure she’s not elected.
